The NCCDP now offers a distinct certification for volunteers: Take the path to certification as CDV Certified Dementia Volunteer.
The Alzheimer’s Disease Dementia and Care seminar is the required seminar for Volunteers interested in Dementia education and certifications. This is a distinct certification for Volunteers who work in memory care or provide volunteer services to elders with cognitive impairment.
After completing the seminar volunteers can apply online at www.nccdp.org with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners for the CDV certification.
